An inmate in a British Columbia prison was accused of second degree murder for death in a cafeteria battle.
Homicide investigators said Therae Racette-Beaulieu was charged in the death of Christopher Braun, who was fatally injured in the fight on December 15.
According to police, several detainees attacked the only victim and three were accused of assault.
Investigators say that RCMP agents were deployed to Kent’s institution in Agassiz, British Columbia after Canada Correctional Service reported the police incident.

The police say that in addition to Braun, an inmate was injured enough to need transport to the hospital, while two others were minors.
The four detainees charged in the attack remain in detention pending their next appearances in court.
