Volodymyr Zelenskyy said that Ukraine was “the most interested in peace” and that confirmed officials will keep talks with American partners in Saudi Arabia next week to end the war with Russia.
This occurs while Sir Keir Starmer should organize discussions with European leaders on Friday from Ukraine.
The Prime Minister and the French President Emmanuel Macron are looking for countries willing to provide troops for a peacekeeping force to defend a potential agreement. The suggested agreement has already been rejected by Russia.
In his night speech on Thursday, the Ukrainian president said that his country was “most interested in peace”.
He also seemed to signal the relations between the United States and Ukraine who recovered on the right track after his disastrous visit to the White House – saying that talks will take place in Saudi Arabia, but suggested that he would not be part of these discussions.
The Ukrainian president said: “I have to visit Saudi Arabia to meet the Crown Prince.
“After that, my team will remain in Saudi Arabia to work with American partners. Ukraine is most interested in peace.”
He added: “As we told President Trump, Ukraine works and will work exclusively in a constructive manner for rapid and reliable peace.”
